The radishes which we sowed on Monday had already germinated by Wednesday! You can see that today they have all germinated and have got their first two true leaves.
The potato has also had a growth spurt, almost doubling the amount of haulm from this time last week!
The other salad vegetables and runner beans are settled into their respective pots and are starting to grow nicely.
We will need to make sure (as is the case especially with things grown in pots) that they are kept well watered until they are ready to harvest. Drainage holes in the bottom of the pots should ensure they do not become waterlogged, but if you let compost dry out too much, it is extremely difficult to moisten it again. Therefore, water little and often to prevent this.
