We were so pleased with the Cascadia sugar snap peas that we’re going to try another sowing, seeing as we have plenty of spare seeds. These were sown on Sunday 25 July.
We filled cell trays with Seed and Modular compost and then dampened it slightly to help the pea seeds swell and germinate.
We then sowed two peas per cell, gently poking the seeds into the compost so they are just below surface level. Then we topped up with a pinch of compost of each seed.
Last but not least, we covered the seeds with newspaper to exclude the light and help with germination. We’ll keep you updated!
