As we mentioned before, it only takes mung beans about a week to grow to maturity. In addition, they need very little care and attention in that time so they are a super easy crop to grow, and make a great addition to stir fry and soups!
This is the mung beans a few days from sowing, and a photo showing the daily care that they need. Each day, the muslin cloth that is kept over the top of the jar should be removed and the mung beans washed through with cold water.

The muslin cloth can then be replaced and the cold water poured away as shown.

They can then be returned to their windowsill to continue growing, with the same actions taken each day to ensure the mung beans have enough moisture to grow.
