Sowing turnips

We’ve still got a lot of crops left to sow for 2021, but it’s still too early to start many of them off. Especially given we can only start things off outside for the moment (greenhouse pending!)

One hardy crop we’ve grown for the last couple of years is turnips. So we sowed some Falco turnips at the weekend.

We sowed the seeds a couple of inches apart, gently pressed them into the compost and then covered back over with a pinch of compost.
