We don’t have enough space set up at the moment for brassicas really (unless there are less than a handful!) so our broccoli plants that we sowed earlier in the year are going to be grown on at Mum and Dad’s.
Before planting out, each plant was given a good soak in liquid seaweed to help it settle in once planted out. Liquid seaweed is a great natural way of getting a balanced mix of nutrients to your plants if they need a little bit of support or a quick pick-me-up!

After planting, we gave each one some water to settle the soil around the base of the plant. Finally, we covered the plants with enviromesh as we find that this protects from both the pigeons but also butterflies and other creepy crawlies!
These will grow on here with some other brassicas that Dad is growing and hopefully we will be harvesting some time next month or early July.
