Padron peppers

Seeing as our weather has been more like it is on the continent for the past few weeks, we took the opportunity to do a little alfresco dining and enjoyed some homegrown tapas out in the garden.

Our Boiro padron peppers had grown some pretty large fruits and the below demonstrates the phrase “from plot to plate” perfectly – and all in the space of about 30 minutes. You really can’t beat it!

And the best part is that there are plenty more where these came from. There are lots more small peppers that have recently set and so we’ve got more padron peppers to come this summer. We’ll just keep our fingers crossed for the weather!
